Peggy Ann Griffin Jordan, 86, of Chattanooga, passed away on May 17, 2022, with her spouse and children by her aspect. Peggy was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Mary Lucille Johnson Griffin and Homer Howard Griffin, Sr.

Peggy attended East Lake and Osborne Elementary Educational institutions, went to Rossville Superior for 1 year and then transferred to Central Substantial University exactly where numerous of her brothers and sisters experienced attended. “Blondie” as she was called at Central was a “High Stepper” Majorette, an ROTC Sponsor, a member of the Anchors Aweigh Social

Club and the Nite Owls Club. Peggy also gained her 2-12 months diploma in

Peggy married the like of her existence, Major Allen Bernard Jordan on Oct 10, 1953.

They had 3 little ones a son, Leslie Allen and similar twin girls, Jana Lynn and Janet Ann and lived in Germany when Allen was stationed there with the U.S. Military.

Peggy was an active member of the previous Central Baptist Church on McCallie Avenue wherever she and Allen had been married and remained a member when it moved to Woodmore. She was a member of the Grace Course, Historical past Committee, and Church choir as effectively as several other committees. When Central Baptist shut its doors, Peggy transferred her membership to Ridgedale Baptist Church.

In Chattanooga, Peggy worked for Marshal Mize Ford in their office and in several medicals options as a Health-related Secretary. Peggy moved to Lady Lake, Florida to be with her twin daughters who have been the Recreation Administrators at Orange Blossom Gardens (The Villages) where by she managed the Local community Source Center. Just after the twins moved to California to be around their brother Leslie, Peggy moved back again to Chattanooga to be in close proximity to her parents. She obtained her Real Estate License and labored for Gloria Sutton Realtors until she moved to California to be around her 3 young children. In California she labored for the Motion Picture and Tv Clinical Insurance coverage Team.

Peggy was preceded in loss of life by her spouse, Significant Allen Bernard Jordan, and daughter, Janet Ann Jordan. She was also preceded in loss of life by her mothers and fathers, Homer H. Griffin and Mary Lucille Johnson Griffin, and by her brothers, Homer H Griffin, Jr., Norman M Griffin and John David “Buddy” Griffin, her sisters, Eva Marie Griffin Oxford and Nina Griffin Wheeler.

Peggy is survived by her son, Leslie Allen Jordan and daughter, Jana Lynn “Cricket” Jordan, her sister, Dorothy Griffin Kelley, and niece, Lynn Griffin Grimsley, as properly as a huge quantity of other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother-in-Legislation, Mack Jordan, Jr. of Chattanooga. Peggy lived a whole lifetime was deeply cherished by all who understood her, and she deeply beloved her household and friends. She will be considerably skipped.
