The Horrors of Bucha | Diane Ravitch’s blog
As the Russian navy regroups and moves to assault Ukrainian metropolitan areas in the East, it is withdrawing from towns it controlled for more than a month. The evidence of sadism, torture, and war crimes versus civilians shocks the conscience of everyone but the guy who started off the war, Vladimir Putin. He and he on your own has the energy to halt the killing.
By now, we have all seen the trrrible carnage on the tv information. But the revelations keep coming. At times words and phrases shock even much more than pictures.
This was reported in today’s Washington Put up.
BUCHA, Ukraine — The title of this city is now synonymous with the thirty day period-lengthy carnage that Russian soldiers perpetrated below.
But the scale of the killings and the depravity with which they were dedicated is only just turning out to be apparent as law enforcement, local officials and typical citizens commence the grim undertaking of clearing Bucha of the hundreds of corpses decomposing on streets and in parks, condominium structures and other places.
ISome of the cruelest violence took area at a glass manufacturing facility on the edge of town.
On the gravel close to a loading dock lay the system of Dmytro Chaplyhin, 21, whose stomach was bruised black and blue, his hands marked with what appeared like cigarette burns. He ultimately was killed by a gunshot to the upper body, concluded crew chief Ruslan Kravchenko. His human body then was turned into a weapon, tied to a tripwire connected to a mine.
“Every day we get about 10 to 20 calls for bodies like this,” Kravchenko mentioned.
Hundreds of corpses litter the streets of Bucha, some of them beheaded.
